Since 2022, Synoptik and Smarteyes have been part of the same family within the world-leading EssilorLuxottica. With over 18,000 stores, including 220 in Sweden, we are part of an international group that designs, manufactures, and distributes eyewear and sunglasses from some of the most recognized brands such as Ray-Ban and Oakley.

We are now looking for a Facilities Specialist in our real estate team who plays a key role in ensuring that our stores at Synoptik and Smarteyes in Sweden operate efficiently from a technical and operational perspective. In this role, you will also be a technical specialist regarding technical operational issues and support for our stores' optical equipment.

Do you have experience in technical support and/or property management and a good understanding of technical systems? Are you also curious about the unique equipment in the optics industry? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

What does it mean to be a Facilities Specialist?
As a Facilities Specialist, you serve as an important contact person between store staff, external suppliers, and internal stakeholders. You are responsible for ensuring that cases in the case management system are handled correctly – that they are categorized properly, prioritized, and forwarded to the right supplier or technician for action.

Your tasks include, among others:

  • Managing and following up on cases in our case management system (ticket system) for technical operational and maintenance issues.
  • Ensuring that the flow of work orders goes to the right supplier, is followed up, and is completed as agreed in our case management system.
  • Planning and coordinating preventive technical maintenance of optical equipment and property technical installations with external suppliers.
  • Participating in budget work related to operations and maintenance, as well as following up on costs and invoices.
  • Being responsible for monitoring the performance of various suppliers.
  • Participating in store openings, relocations, and renovations to provide technical support.
  • Driving smaller maintenance projects.

Who are you?
To fit and thrive
in the role, we believe you have a good understanding of technical systems (such as electricity, ventilation, HVAC) and if you have experience with optical equipment, it is a strong merit. We believe you have experience in technical support and/or property management – preferably in retail – where you have worked in a case management system. You also have experience in cost monitoring.

With us, you will become part of a wonderful Scandinavian team within real estate where you work for a company that is transforming to offer the best customer experience in Scandinavia. You are also part of an international team with nearly 200,000 employees worldwide. You will work in an organization with strong drive and forward momentum where our values are in focus. With us, there is a high ceiling with great development opportunities both locally and internationally.

For us, personality is important and we believe you are a person who always puts the customer first and naturally seeks solutions over obstacles. You bring energy, drive, and a positive attitude that rubs off on both colleagues and projects. You work in a structured and proactive manner, take responsibility for the whole, and enjoy driving projects from start to finish. You also thrive in fast-paced environments where days offer rapid changes and several exciting projects simultaneously. In other words – you flourish when there is a lot happening around you. You are proficient in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Regular travel within Sweden and sporadically within Scandinavia is expected.

Apply for the position today!
The position is a permanent employment, and we would like you to start your introduction as soon as possible, but of course, we will take notice of your notice period. We have an office right next to Kista Galleria with excellent communication opportunities. For those who like to work out, we also have access to a gym as well as changing rooms and showers.

If you have questions about the role or how it is to work with us, you are warmly welcome to contact William Bergqvist at 0766297346. Selection and interviews will begin in January.
